The John Carey Memorial AIDS Walk, a 10-Kilometer (6.2 mile) pledge walk, will take place on Sunday, September 28 at Edgewater Park in Cleveland. The 197 Walk officially s ps off at 1:00 p.m. Funds raised from the Walk will support the programs of 11 local organizations to meet the needs of the many men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS and to assist in preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS in our community.

A benefit for 11 local agencies: The AIDS Housing Council of Greater Cleveland, The AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland; The Center for Families and Children The Free Clinic of Greater Cleveland; Hispanic UMADAOP; The Lesbian/Gay Community Service Center, The National Hemophilia Foundation, Northern Ohio Chapter; The Open House Planned Parenthood of Greater Cleveland; SAMM (Stopping AIDS is My Mission); The Women's Center of Greater Cleveland.
